What Is Yin Yoga, Really?

A sanctuary where we melt into long-held postures, typically for 3–5 minutes or more, allowing the deeper connective tissues, fascia, ligaments, and joints, to soften, open, and remember. Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around every bone, organ, muscle, and nerve in the body. It is a living, breathing system, rich in sensation and memory. And when we experience stress, trauma, or unprocessed emotions, the fascia can tighten, harden, or store these energies.
